Eileen is someone I never wanted to work together in the past… I juz felt tat there will be pressure workin under her… haha… but juz like hw I dun realli knw yew chong in the past till I understands him after workin wif him… Nw, I guessed I can understand wat eileen probabli wans after tokin to her….



Yesterdae and todae seems like a turnin pt bah… Never will I thot I will be interactin wif eileen so much… haha… After yesterdae’s recee, eileen and me tok for a while on my leadership style… I guessed tis is wat I haf been tryin to learn in ymca after promoted to volunteer leader….



To me of the past, as long as effort is there, result is there, and the benefit for the club is completed, I guessed its a gd job done… but nw at ymca, I am tryin to learn to find a balance between puttin ur heart out to ur team members and the effort behind the job…



Hwever wat eileen said realli stunned me… She told me INTERACTION is the most impt part, coz u will need to interact wif ur team members more in order to lead them further… Guessed wat she said is rite, nobody told me hw to become a gd leader but I was pushed to become a leader… N the challenge she gaf me was to step out of my comfort zone…



I guessed after yrs of becomin a leader, I am more familiarise wif my leadership style…. Nw to step out of my comfort zone is somehw like go back to the start again and relearn and redo everything I haf did in the past 6 yrs as a leader…. I guessed callin eileen my teacher nw is nt wrong… Haha… guessed frm 2008 onwards, I will haf more to learn frm her orhz….



Oh yar… shld I sae bad news mah… The comin jun 08 y camp, I will nt be a sub camp commander leh… N eileen haf nt even decided whether she wans to activate me or nt… haha… But well, experience for y camp is there lar… If she wans me to help her for y camp, I will definelty be there for her 24/7…



Turtles were back again… Maybe for the last time???

Well, mani of the ex - turtles asked me in tis camp why I wanted to join logistic and not be a befriender… Veri simple the reason… I wanted a new experience in my y camp journey and learn new things…

Before the whole y camp haf started, I am alreadi helpin out in plannin and preparin the stuffs for y camp… I reached kallang mrt stn ard 7 am… Waitin and restin for a while, I decided to move to the campsite and saw ning… Sad tat will nt be able to meet the turtles before I go… haha…

7.15am, most of the log tem haf appeared… haha… juz like wat I told alan tat he will be in the log team lar… anywae, started to be breifin abt some of the stuffs…

Ard 9am, after finished preparin all the stuffs, movin ard all the stuffs… all the sub camps started their interaction…  while justi, eileen and me sat near the side of the stage discussin wats next…

Tink there’s nt much work to do after tat, except movin most of the stuffs to the stage frm cabin and the camp leaders comin to find me for equipments tat they needed…

Den its lunch time, I had to brin tim and ian to the nearby market to buy vegetarian rice… Basicalli, tats wat yew chong told me abt to do, and notin dwn instructions makes my work easier… On out wae back, I also told the rest of them wat to do also…

The whole afternoon became a slack session for the log team… Onli preparin water is needed mah… While the camps went for the activities, I went to tok to pauline and christina… they were like veri de bored lol….

In the mid afternoon, its some sortin out of the camp tshirts for the camps…. All the log team were activated and thus we finished it in no time…. 

I juz felt tat basicalli, the log team seems like quite slack lol when there’s no work… thus, you realli need to gif them more and more work… but hor… in log team, its all abt initiative and basicalli, onli justin, alan and me haf done it onli…

Dinner time at nite was still ok… same stuff done at lunch and nw at dinner… preparin food, serve food, prepare wate pt… After dinner, justin and me dispatch the whole log team to various VWOs for workshop… so bth of us cleared up and did the rest of the jobs tat cld be done…

Ard 10 plus pm, justin, eileen and me got the momentos stuff packed and ready for the camp leaders to gif out… but whether they wanted to gif out or nt, tat one I cannt sae anything le… haha

Ard 11pm, we had a debriefin session… I realli hated ppl nt hearin instructions lar… but well, thankfulli justin and alan stopped me frm flarin up, or else, haha… sparks fly… Actualli, juz tat I was tired and wanted the rest of the team to hear some final instuctions before they went off to rest mah…

1st nite is ok lar… I mean wat can u realli expect to happen to the volunteers??? But I managed to found 2 suspicious characters nt slpin and tokin to each other….

Haha…. they are AJ and siok chen… I went to them after my 1st prowl to see hw are they… Realised tat siok chen is havin fever lol… and AJ, she is havin bruises after her 1st dae of activities….. Well, as I thot, the CCOs are still nt doin a gd job lol…

Den after they went on to slp, I continued my prowlins… 1st nite’s prowlin ended up for me nt slpin thru the nite frm 5am till 7am, watchin everyone woke up…

Den its preparin breakfast for the mornin… Same usual stuff… after tat, cleanin up the mph as the camps went for their high elements and rock climbin… After tat went for some slp, thou its nt realli slpin lol…

Well, whenever I am bored, I will juz tok to pauline and christina, argh… haf to keep myself awake somehw… anywae, the log team also helped out in makin the stands for the beneficiairies grp, so tat they are able to sit dwn later when they come…

After the lunch haf been served, the log team were busy again… this time to fetch the beneficiaries into the MPH… hahaz… great to see some of them… and its tat u go to the outin tat often, tat the beneficiairies rmbs who u are…. When they come dwn frm their bus, they will juz sae hi to u and gaf u a hug… Its realli tounchin…

I am realli happie to see them, the beneficiaires… coz their smile will juz make u happie…. Also, in log team, I dun onli do logisitic stuff, I also haf the freedom to move ard camps to help more beneficiaries and nt onli one… Tats why I joined log team tis time round…

After fetchin the beneficiaires, I helped out to take care of the grp I brought in, APSN…  Actualli wanted to take care of SCAS, but eileen lar… trust me so much… tats why… haha…. But its gd she trust me lol… or else I will nt be able to do much, isn’t it???

Den, ard 2 plus pm, I took out the tent pitchin stuffs which I haf prepared for the camps to the basketball court… So nth in particularli happened until 3plus pm, huijing complained to me tat her tent gt problem… I was liked alamak, she suai lar… but haha… the QC part haf to ask my big boss, yew chong le… haha…

Anywae, efficienci is one thing abt log team, immediately, alan and me realli took a new one and got ready… after tat I and some of the log team juz sat ard as the beneficiairies and the volunteers were havin their fun session… interactin wif each others…

RAIN den came… alamak, I lead some of the log team into savin the tents… wah… its pourin so big, tat when the tent are halfwae bein brought in and taken dwn, its alreadi wet le lol… Anywae, all the tent were brought dwn a few mins later… After tat, eileen and me were reckin the place for the outdoor cookin later…. I was also glad tat I managed to help a physible disabled beneficiairi…

5pm, yi wei and me went onto discuss the outdoor cookin part… after went on to the place and much discussion wif wei guang, the camp commander… I was den given the instructions to continue wif the outdoor cookin… Eileen den told me tat she will be keepin a few for dinner while the rest gone to help me…

So while the benficiairies are enjoyin their mass dance, the log team and me were busyin carryin out all the stuffs needed for the outdoor cookin… Hm… when I sae thanx to eileen givin me the chance to lead, this is a veri good example, coz I got to lead the log team for outdoor cookin by myself alone… of course, its tat justin is nt ard, so I get to lead alone lar…

While we were all preparin the layout of the outdoor cookin, eileen gaf me one call to sae tat she needs much of the ppl back for dinner and can onli gif me alan… I had to gif in lol… coz she’s my boss mah… hahaz… I guessed the negotiation part is fun lar… oh yar… thanx yiwei for stayin to help the poor 2 of us to prepare all the stuffs needed for the outdoor cookin lol…

Juz as I thot… oh yar… no dinner??? Alan came back wif his food and told me to get my food 1st, den come back guard the outdoor cookin stuffs… While havin dinner, I told alan wat will be happenin later, coz he’s needed back at 7.45pm, and eileen will be sendin 5 of the log team to assist me…

After my dinner, I went on to set up 2 other cookin spots… and den 7.45pm, I was like runnin ard the cmap site lar… coz the 4 cookin spots were ard the camp and the distance were so far awae lor, furthermore, I had to keep on passin instructions ard to the log team guys guardin at the cookin spots…

Nite time finalli came… I was standin ard one of the spots until I saw ning and her beneficiairi near my spot… Hwever she’s like havin trouble takin care of her beneficiari, feelin tat she’s nt havin a gd time, and the rest of the camps are back in mph, I thot, ai yah… go there and help her lol…

Den after accompaniyin ning’s beneficiari for almost 1/2 hrs time tryin to brin her beneficiairi back to mph, which the bth of us finalli succeed lar… But we bth were like tryin so mani waes… I was also almost out of my wits le… haha… but its realli fun lar… haha… 

After succeed in brin ning’s beneficiairi back to the mph, near 9pm, wei guang finalli announced the outdoor cookin haf started, I was busy runnin ard the cookin spots makin sure everything is goin on fun…. I den decided to take a rest and went on to the mph to see hw ning and her beneficiari are doin… haha… its fun lar… coz see her beneficiairi, bryan and his sis, michelle attackin yew chong… oops… well, tats for fun lar… hahaz…

Den, I went on to sit near eileen and the rest of them to rest, suddenli someone told me tat there’s fire… eileen was like askin wat to do, I den told her… Fire Extinguisher lol… but yew chong suggested to use water instead… so gladfulli, alan and me were fillin water tryin our best to put beside each cookin spot…. phew… thankfulli, no big fire emerge…

But its realli a miscommunication between the log team, and wif nt hearin the instructions carefulli, tat there’s burnt in the canvas which is fire proof… so tats hw fire suddenli appeared…

After the whole outdoor cookin session ended, its abt cleanin up and washin up… So while the rest of them were waitin for me, which I am too tired in givin instrcutions lol… coz if the rest of the log team knws hw to take up their own initiatives, I will nt be needed to gif them instructions… but they r too lazy le…

10 plus pm, the log team went for a tokin session… I didn’t tok much coz too tired lar… Ard 12 plus am, the log team went on to keep the tents and stuff… well, of course they juz left it there lar… and I went to placed all the tents and stuffs on the pathwae of the MPH to avoid rainin… 

After bath… its slpin time… wah… almost 1am lol…

my 2nd nite of sentry starts again… somehw I felt like I am the onli one doin sentry lol… Anywae, I got to did a fruitful sentry session….

I managed to helped a lot of beneficiaries… hahaz.. its like after 30 mins of my sentry duty started, almost all the beneficiairies started to wake up somehw… esp. terence… he haf to take 2 beneficiairies to the toilet and I thot why nt help him…

Den as my duty went on, I even cleared pees, thankfulli no shit tis time round lar… hahaz… I also gt to boiled water in the morning… hahaz… but I liked my job tis time round at y camp, can do more stuffs mah… no need to stay at one camp as volunteers and did veri less stuffs…

Mornin, 7 am started… eileen den discussed wif me hw the log team performed last nite… I simpli gaf my comments… coz I felt tat if the log team haf nt be performin well, den I cld nt sae they had bah… hwever, some gd pts abt the team, I also mentioned to eileen le…

Its breakfast time… Yeah… got yu tiao and coffee… Its was den I realised I never ate bread for 2 breakfast le….

After preparin breakfast, eileen sent the rest of the team to clean toilets while justin and me cleaned up the slpin bag wif pees… we decided to clean one onli coz it belongs to the VWOs, while the rest, its thrown awae… coz under ymca de…

Den after tat, its nt realli tat busy for the log team, onli haf to plan for the dragon boat session later at kallang… Anywae, at the high elements side, I saw my jun’s beneficiairi, yan tong… haha… ning was surprised tat he still rmb me lol… Feelin tat since there’s nth much to do nw, I stayed on to gif yan tong encouragement….

After lunch time, waitin till 2pm, 3 other log team’s guys went on wif me to kallang… before tat the whole log team were helpin the rest of the beneficiairies to go up the bus… its realli a tough job, coz we haf to carry the physicalli disabled ones up to the bus…

Reachin kallang, can see tat the beneficiairies were enjoyin themselves veri much… After the 1st 2 sub camps went dwn to the water, the rain came… and the beneficiaries were brought inside to a room for them to rest… Tat was where the 2 sub camps’ volunteers decided to play in the rain… hahaz… they had their fun sessions…

Ard 5 plus pm, the whole dragon boatin session ended… the log team were all activated to jagan the traffic… I was realli angry at some of the cars lar… Come on lar… they cannt see tat beneficiairies are crossin the road meh… WTF !!! they juz wanted to drive thru lol…

Tat was the 1st batch of grp leavin kallang… while 2 of my log team guys left wif the 1st grp, 1 other log team ppl stayed on wif me to help out… Ard 6plus pm, yew chong and me brought the physicalli disabled beneficiaries onto the ymca van and we brought them back directli…

Back at the camp site… its another job to brin them dwn, which u need patience to lead them slowli dwn the van…. Anywae, after restin for a while, I was like ok… needed to serve dinner le…. Hm… while I was servin 1/2 wae, the photographer, serene stand beside me and we bth started chattin…

Actualli gt see serene sometimes helpin out the log team de coz her friend is in log team bah… I guessed??? anywae, I was busy usin my 2 hands lol, so thot maybe it will be gd lettin serene to help me…. Den, tats where I thot the servin part is over, I can haf my dinner, wan xin, one of the sub camp commander suddenli sae tat she needed one person to clean up the floor, so I volunteered… well, tink I too efficient bah… haha…

So, its den time for my dinner… after I taken my food, I was liked, where do I sit… hm… arh… found serene’s place got free sittin, so went over…… haha… but its wet lar… hahaz…. anywae, we chatted and chatted until its like one of the beneficiaries came over and tok to me… Hm… he’s frm SCAS, whom I knw frm reading club…

At nite its stary stary nite, and the log team is suppose clean up the whole mph… I was 1/2 wae cleanin  the floor, suddenli eileen gaf me restin time… I felt why nt??? hahaz… Went to see on the performances after tat, den suddenli, dunno when where alan and me were sitted, eileen came over and join us, wah… suddenli, justin’s bro, justin, head of i camper came over also…

Justin den told eileen wats expected of log team… I felt its quite unfair to sae eileen in his wae lar… anywae, eileen is 1st time in log, so cannt blame her mah….. she realli dunno much and is still learnin lol…

So the whole nite, is fun lar… stary stary nite and a celebration time for all the volunteers and beneficiairies… After it ended, the log team went to prepare the supper for the volunteers and beneficiaries… Ard 11pm, its lights out… and the log team gathered at one table tokin and singin… hahaz… its fun…

The whole log team also tidied and kept most of the stuffs as we stuffed them inside the ymca van, ready to brin them back to ymca tmr mornin…

Juz as we thot we will be restin thru the nite, as expected by alan and me, we haf to help beneficiaries to the toilet and takin care of them, makin sure they can slp thou… haha…

Ard 2am plus, I decided to haf my bath… well, its always like tat… log team will be the last to bath de…  serene came over to find me for extra slpin bag, which I offered her mine since I am nt slpin ….

Who knws at 3am, after my bath… I was slpin le… haha… slpin on the tables at the side of the MPH lor… but I was 1/2 awake, 1/2 slpin… I didn’t did sentry lar… coz alan was awake the whole nite, so no prob for him to do sentry…

6 plus am, I dressed up and went wif alan and 2 other guys to help yew chong brin most of the stuff back at ymca… the 4 of us were restless and tired tat we juz slept in the van….

7 am, after brinin the stuffs into office at 3rd lvl, ymca, we went over to SMU’s mr bean to collect breakfast… but it became disastrous… haha… some of the soya milk were out of shape or its juz simpli became a gone case… haha… den, 8 plus am, we went on to serve breakfast wif the rest of the log team….

Ard 10 plus am, while seein volunteers biddin goodbye to the beneficiaires, we also cleared up most of the stuffs… Den somehw, yew chong were thankin the log team and justin and me were like wah lau… we walk past den thank us…. haha….

I also had a photo takin session somehw wif the ex turtles… haha… but well… the photo were nt saved… wahahahaha…

After all the volunteers left, I was still there clearin up, puttin  the stuffs in the ymca van…. Ard 12 plus pm, wei guang, tim and me were at ymca puttin all the stuff back the 3rd lvl office lol… haha… see, works never ends for me after y camp de….

I went home ard 2 plus am… Checkin some e-mails… den dozed off at 5 plus pm… Somehw, I missed star awards 2007 due to fatigue… I woke up ard 12 midnight and dozes off again lar…

hm… tink the grp is also out le, but ah li will probabli need to reshuffle again bah… Hahaz… saw ning, daniel, ai jia, mei xuan, terence, huda, siok chen, su yu, elin and ck’s grp le… too bad, they will nt be all together in the same camp tis time round…

Gt to sae… turtles are over nw…

as for me… Nah… nt in any camp tis time rnd… will be at logistic doin all the major sai kang… hm… hahaz… so if any of the turtles need my help, tell me horz…

KK… I also attended the apsn’s committee meetin… glad tat I am inside, can do more mah… Hm… anywae, hope to find some of u out there to join in the committee too… can help me mah… hahaz…

tink of further stuffs… huili arhx… she’s nt at the meetin on fri leh… I realli worried for her… is her problem nt slove yet??? I realli prayed for her tat she does nt face the problem alone… hm… 3 musketters muz nt left one person out one…

yesterdae attended y arts challenge… well, gotta sae the y stars are realli a bunch of talented kids arhz… I realli enjoyed havin my time wif them… though its oftenli tat I may nt haf the chance to join their outins lol…

Hahaz… christina is blur lar… can see frm hw she organised the activiti on tat dae… realli muz be laughin sia… oh yah… saw tiying and valerie…

Hm.. tiying… Thou we bth stay at seng kang, but on the wae home, we never realli walked together or tok to each other… Tink its my problem bah… Zhen dui bu qi orhx… so shld I be tokin to tiying the next time????

OK… no I gt a veri big problem… 

actualli its quite personal de lah… 6 yrs ago, I thot I will never get the ans I wanted, hwever, hw wld I knw tat 6 yrs later which is tis yr… I heard the ans I never thot I will hear…

nw I am realli confused and at a lost… Is tis realli heaven’s will to make a joke on me after my 21st birthdae??? anywae, since its the past alreadi, I dun tink I can do anythin much either…

I wan to haf choices, but dun tink I haf any nw… maybe its heaven’s will to keep on playin jokes around on me….
